The following are the rules that govern the site. Following them is not optional. Please read over them carefully so that your stay here with us will be pleasant and long. Keeping up with the rules is your responsibility, not knowing them is not an excuse.
These rules are subject to change with or without notice as more are needed or they become obsolete. It is your job to keep up with them as failure to do so is not an excuse.
Silent Streams ~ Rules & Regulations
Welcome to Silent Streams
Firstly the staff would like to welcome you to our roleplaying community and would like to state that we are a PG-13 rpg where we take inspiration from Harry Potter. We are looking forward to roleplaying with you and seeing what you come up with for your characters, please ensure you read the rules in their entirety to make your stay here with us a pleasant experience for all. Guests may need to register with us, to view everything we have to offer.
Out of Character Rules
1. We are a PG-13 RP which means that no Adult/Mature content will be allowed. Any found will be removed and you will only receive one (1) warning, second offense is a permanent ban.
1.a. We do not accept Pornstars/Adult Actors/Actresses, Anime/Hentai characters as character Celebrity Claims. Any who try will be denied and told to choose a new Face Claim.
2. We follow ALL of the ProBoards Terms & Conditions as well as all of their Policies. Make sure that you are up to date on them.
3. Please create new accounts for each of your characters and do so with your characters full name in this our preference. Create your characters in the creations board, using our template provided. You have 48 hours to complete your app before it will be deemed as dead and moved to the archives. We do not have a limit on how many characters you can have, we only ask that you ensure that you are able to play all of them. This is to ensure everyone has the chance of taking a canon role and we also would like to point out that canons are needed to ensure our plot can play out and continue to develop with the aid of none canon roles. All character types are welcomed, please refer to our character threads for more information.
4. Canon characters are asked to post at least three times a week, to keep the stories and the muse flowing for all involved. We do not have templates in our posts and there is no word count. Plot pages are used to help muse together and better the roleplaying experience. Trackers are also there for you, to help keep an eye on where you have posted and when you're due to post you will see the New button appear in the participated area above. Please keep on top of your posts and remember to post once a week, if you are not canon.
5. If you are going to be inactive for any amount of time, please inform us before hand in the absences board. This is to ensure your characters aren't moved into the "inactive" member group and aren't deleted due to any dry spells in your posts. Any absences that aren't booked may result in just that, you may lose your character if they become inactive and will be put back on the lists for someone else to take that character in the future.
6. Absolutely no Drama, keep it out of the site.

1. Metagaming, Powerplaying, and God Moding are not allowed without prior written Consent of the other player.
2. Keep your character(s) realistic. No one is perfect, they must have flaws.
3. Keep OOC and IC separate.
